The Roberts

Family photos are such a wonderful way to keep up with all of the changes that our families go through over time. Each year brings new joys, new pain, new growth and photos are kind of a physical representation of the seasons we go through. They are a direct connection to memory and emotion. 

This is the Roberts Family! And super special to me, because they are MY family! I was honored to take these pics for them! My brother-in-law and sister have created a lovely culture in their family dynamic over the years. One of love and warmth and fun! These kids are fast growing into amazing young adults and teens. None of them actually wanted to take the photos, and they gave their mama a really hard time about it! But I’m pretty sure that they secretly enjoyed the process! 

I love documenting families in their own environment. There is a comfortability and natural feel to it. You know how to be in your own space, and that makes pictures less awkward. The family photos on the couch are some of my favorites.. I think that’s where everyone really came out of their shell!
